Do Things That Suck
Similar to Paul Graham’s, Do Things that Don't Scale, do things that suck. Paul Graham points out that the ideal time to experiment is when you don’t have many customers. You can have the time and resources to do highly manual things for your customers to understand what their pain points and outsized rewards are.
Similarly, when you don’t have a large audience is a perfect time to experiment and not worry about sucking. The downside is low because there aren’t many eyes on you.
