How to Find a Teacher

“When the student is ready, the teacher will appear.”

Teachers are always present and willing to teach. But they don’t want to waste their time. I’m reminded of Derek Siver’s story, There’s No Speed Limit. His mentor, Kimo Williams, offers to help many aspiring music students and tells them to show up at 9AM. But only Derek did.

A better saying might be, “Students will see teachers when they are open to learning.”
