Just Do It
I wish Nike never came up with "Just Do It."
Action is how we learn. The consequences of our actions are the best teachers.
It's very easy to think you're making progress with the traditional approach of learning, which is consuming information. Listening to a teacher, reading a book. But until you tried out that information, you don't know if it applies. You've just memorized facts and opinions, which may or may not apply to your situation.
Implicit in the Small Bets philosophy is a bias toward action. A bet is a wager on the outcome of an event. Small means there is minimal downside. Just Do It.
Small Bets is actually a learning strategy, perhaps the most efficient learning strategy. A flywheel of incorporating information.
