A lot of people that claim to be open-minded aren’t. A good test to see if someone’s open-minded is to ask if they’ve ever used a bidet.
Using paper to wipe your ass obviously doesn’t do the job. If you get shit on your hand, you’re not going to rub it with a paper towel, you’re going to scrub it with soap and water (probably multiple times!) But most Americans will never entertain the thought of using a bidet.
If you won’t squirt water on your butt to clean it, you definitely have hangups about trying other things out.
Jeff Bezos talks about two-way doors at Amazon. A two-way door is when you can turn around and reverse a decision without consequences. If something is a two-way door, and you won't try it, you're not open-minded.
