Storytelling
One of the most effective lifehacks is realizing that your inner voice is telling you stories. We put ourselves in the middle of a narrative that often has no relationship with reality. All the motives we assign to people may, in fact, not be present.
If you can remove yourself from the narrative it allows you to think objectively. Your actions will be freer from judgement.
Interestingly, when you talk to other people, the ideal method is through stories. Communicating through raw facts and logic is neither convincing nor entertaining.
When you create stories for other people, you're being active. You're creating a narrative for a purpose. When you subconsciously create a narrative for yourself, it's passive and driven by your fears.
