Hello from Mammoth Mountain! I had an amazing experience today. I'm still processing it, but I think it was my first cognizant flow experience. I was skiing pretty fast, and while I was aware of the speed it didn't really register. It was like a background visual. What I was aware of was my body. I was hyper-aware of my body movements but they didn't feel connected to the feeling of speed. I knew what I did would affect my movement but it still felt separated. It was like I was performing in front of a green screen. Or I was playing a video game. These are terrible analogies, but the best I can come up with. I'm wondering if this feeling is connected to the Buddhist observer concept? Would love to hear any of your experiences of the Flow State!
