Jesus said, "Render unto Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and unto God the things that are God's.”
Life is full of complications and compromises. While I believe you should understand what you want and do it, you still need to do things that you don’t want to do. You have to earn money in order to have food, clothing, and shelter. You can minimize the things that you don’t want to do, but you can’t eliminate them completely.
It’s a tightrope between being a sociopath - only doing what you want to do without any consideration for other people - and being a people pleaser - only doing what other people want without consideration for yourself.
No man is an island. - John Donne
Your relationships are key. The concept of “love languages” plays here. Every relationship has specific ways of communicating and satisfaction. You need to determine the things which are Caesar’s and the things which are God’s.
I believe in the idea that there are ways to learn to enjoy something that one must do. So, rather than just eliminating things you don't enjoy, turn something you don't enjoy into something you do. It's not easy because it means changing how you look at things. But, just as an example, some people like to turn chores into games. I'm not saying this will work for everything, but it's an alternative to "just put up with it."
