I believe in the idea that there are ways to learn to enjoy something that one must do. So, rather than just eliminating things you don't enjoy, turn something you don't enjoy into something you do. It's not easy because it means changing how you look at things. But, just as an example, some people like to turn chores into games. I'm not saying this will work for everything, but it's an alternative to "just put up with it."

Agree - One way to put it (I think it's from Josh Waitzkin) is changing everything from "I have to" to "I get to"
"I have to get up at 6am" vs "I get to get up at 6am"
But I do think thinking about what is necessary or not is something that is even more important.
